Jr. High School Educator of the Month!!

Mrs. Julie Graham was chosen by staff as the Junior High Educator of the Month this month.
Where you graduated from High School: I graduated from Paint Creek High School, not to be confused with Paint Rock High School, which remains a rural, very small 2A (formerly 1A and prior to that Class B, six-man football) school--much like the size of Buckholts. We were maroon and white pirates. There were 9 in my graduating class--6 boys and 3 girls. Even if one managed to obtain the coveted Salutatorian rank, it still wasn't in that elite top 10% of the class.😂 I went to Hawaii on my senior trip by way of California's Disneyland first. Paint Creek is in Haskell County, about an hour north of Abilene, Texas. Former Texas Governor Rick Perry also graduated from Paint Creek High School and, strangely enough, Paint Creek High produced three AGGIE yell-leaders of which Rick Perry was one; a second one was Jim Bob Mickler and a third, Mike Overton, was in the same graduating class as my mom. The school house itself was and still is surrounded on all four sides by cotton fields. I took great pride in my small-school education and because of my background I have always wanted to teach in that same environment and have my kids attend a small school...check that off.
Assignment(s)/Duties: I am certified all-levels PE/Secondary Math and have taught junior high math on a regular basis sprinkled with this, that, and the other over the years just to keep it interesting.
Total Years in Education: I have taught at four different schools in my 30 years of teaching: I began my teaching career at Hawley High School (1 year--they were maroon and white), Paint Creek High School (7 years--also Maroon and White) Little River Academy (1 year--NOT maroon and white) and I have been at Milano High now for 21 years and counting...(Maroon and Gold) One might conclude that I like maroon...
Family members: I am married to Bryan Graham (graduate of Milano High) and have six-children (all graduates of Milano High come May 26, 2017) and 4 grandchildren
Favorite quote(s): My favorite quote is not a quote but a summarized Bible verse from Phillipians 4:6...worry about nothing, pray about everything.
Much goes on in life, much goes wrong in life, and I have learned that I can not fix it all; therefore, I pray.
