Christus US Family Health Plan Nursing Scholarship

Deadline: September 1

Students pursuing a 4-year degree in Nursing, whose parent/step-parent or guardian served in the US Military.

Applicants must submit an essay in response to the prompt, "Why I Have Selected Nursing as My Career." Selection is based on grades, essay, and financial merit.

Odenza Marketing Group Scholarship Fund

Deadline: September 30, 2018

Minimum GPA of 2.5, must have contributed at least 50 hours of volunteer service within his/her community over the last twelve months.

Hispanic Heritage Month Essay Contest

Deadline: September 20, 2018

Students must write the following essay of 500 words or less:What is the importance of civic engagement among the Latino/a community? Why is it important for Latinos/as to engage in voting, encouraging others to vote, volunteering, taking part in student organizations, knowing and contacting your local elected official, and running for public office? The scholarship awards are $200 for first place winners, $125 for second place winners and $100 for third place winners for both high school and middle school.

Eugene McDermott Scholarship Program

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program:

Must have engaged in a volunteer activity. These National Honorees will receive $5,000 awards, engraved gold medallions, crystal trophies for their schools or organizations, and $5,000 grants from The Prudential Foundation for nonprofit charitable organizations of their choice. State Honorees and will receive an award of $1,000, an engraved silver medallion, and an all-expense-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C., May 2019.

Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award

Students must have strong academic abilities evident in ACT/SAT test scores and grades, as well as demonstrate financial need.

2019 Elks Grand Lodge Most Valuable Student

The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2019 competition. The 2019 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Applications for the 2019 contest will be available online starting September 1, 2018. The 2017 MVS application deadline is November 15, 2018.

AXA Achievement Scholarship

Applicants to the AXA AchievementsmScholarship must:

Be a United States citizen or legal resident living or claiming residency in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico.Be a current high school senior who plans to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2018-19 academic year. Enrollment at an accredited postsecondary institution outside of the United States will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities.

Society of Manufacturing Engineers Scholarship

To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:

A) Be a graduating high school senior, current undergraduate or graduate student who will be enrolling as part-time or full -time undergraduate or graduate student, attending accredited colleges or universities.

B) Have a minimum GPS of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or 70 on a 100 point (%) scale. Most scholarships have a minimum GPA of 3.0/80.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarships

St. Joseph Foundation Healthcare Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded on financial need and/or merit-based. All scholarships will be paid directly to the institution of higher learning. Eligible courses of study are medically related courses such as Nursing, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Medical Office Management/Specialist. UTSA Alumni Association Scholarship

Commit for Life Scholarship

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's Commit for Life scholarship program will award 20 local students $1,000 each to be applied toward their college education.Deadline: March 1, 2019

Texas Department of Transportation’s Conditional Grant Program.

The grant is available to graduating high school seniors and college students. The maximum grant award is $3,000 each semester or $6,000 per academic year. The grant provides tuition assistance to eligible economically disadvantaged students majoring in civil engineering, computer science, management information systems or computer information systems. The student must be a Texas resident attending or plans to enroll in a four-year Texas public college or university. Odenza Marketing Group Scholarship

One $500 award. To be eligible for the Odenza Marketing Group Fall Scholarship, you must: be between the ages of 16 and 25 on March 30, 2015, submit answers to the essay questions, which can be found on the application page, have at least one full year of post-secondary studies remaining at the time of the award, have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

Grow Texas Scholarship

GTSP usually awards a set number of scholarships valued at $1,000 to $3,000 each.

Scholarship applications must be submitted with all necessary information by the given deadline.

The Charles, Lela and Mary Slough Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship awards up to $5,000 per year ($2,500 per Fall and Spring semesters) for a total of 5 years or the completion of a Bachelor's Degree or a total accumulation of 136 semester hours or 36 credits, whichever comes first.Deadline to submit the application is April 1st.

Linwood Acres Garden 

Linwood Acres Garden Club of Rockdale is proud to be able to offer up to a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student to be selected from Rockdale, Thorndale or Milano High School. CHS Foundation Scholarships

To be eligible for the CHS Foundation Scholarship a student must: be a high school senior, graduating in the spring and attending college in fall 2015, plan to pursue an agricultural degree at a college or university within the US, be pursuing a STEM field of study with an interest in agriculture.

Peter Pasula Study Habits Scholarship

To be eligible for the Study Habits Scholarship a student must: be attending an accredited post-secondary institution by the fall of 2017, answer the essay question on the website online application form.

Don't Mess With Texas Scholarship

Deadline: April 4, 2019

This scholarship recognizes the achievements of high school seniors who have taken leadership roles to prevent litter in their schools and/or communities to build awareness of the Don't Mess With Texas initiative. This year, prize awards have doubled. One $6,000 grand prize scholarship and two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded in May 2018.

The selection committee prefers applicants from the following 14 counties: Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Brown, Burnet, Caldwell, Coryell, Comanche, Coleman, Falls, Fayette, Hamilton, Hays, Llano, Lampasas, Lee, McLennan, Milam, Mills, Limestone, San Saba, Travis, Williamson. Work Ethic Scholarship Program

For the fourth year in a row, the time has come to announce another pile of free money available for our Work Ethic Scholarship Program, a program that gives scholarships to people getting trained for skilled jobs that are in demand.

The 2017 Work Ethic Scholarship Program launched on Monday, March 20, 2018, and the deadline to submit applications is Friday, May 19, 2019.

Animation Career Review Scholarship

Animation Career Review Scholarship offering to high school seniors the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship. This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college.Deadline: June 1, 2019.

Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program:

Global Life Equipment Scholarship

To be eligible for the Global Lift Equipment Scholarship a student must: be currently attending or planning on attending a post-secondary institution in the US by no later than the Fall of 2018, submit a short story, have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

Any college level students that will be attending school Winter 2015 in the United States of America is eligible for our "Love Your Career" scholarship, being offered by JonesTshirts. Any applicant must have met all of the requirements outlined above in order to qualify.

3. Student Loan Assistance Counsel - $500 – 1 Award (Deadline:September 15, 2018)

Student Eligibility:

A) Be Enrolled in full-time studies at a college, trades, or technical school by no later than September 2018.

B) Be currently residing in the United States and intend on continuing studies in the United States.

C) Complete the Online Application no later than September 15, 2018.

4. ShipDig Scholarship - $1,000 – 1 Award (Deadline:September 15, 2018)

Student Eligibility:

Open to all students enrolled in accredited academic institutions, and high school seniors who are enrolling upon graduation. Students of all majors and intended majors are welcome to participate. Applicants must be residents of the United states. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Awards will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the institution of the finalist's enrollment.

5. OMG Scholarship - $500 – 1 Award (Deadline:September 30, 2018)

Student Eligibility:

A) Be between the ages of 16 and 25 on September 30th, 2018

B) Submit answers to the essay questions, which can be found on the application page, prior to the September 30th, 2018 deadline.

C) Have at least one full year of post secondary studies remaining at the time of the award. (Current High School Students are also eligible.)

D) Have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
