Spectators at MISD Athletic Events
As you know, we find ourselves in unprecedented times as we try to return to a sense of normalcy while in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have our athletic teams preparing for their seasons and are taking steps to try and are trying to ensure it is being done in a safe manner, for not only the players and coaches, but for the parents and fans as well. Among the operational guidelines we are required to work within is to limit seating capacity to 50% of the facility seating capacity to try and allow for social distancing between family groups.
Home Athletic Contest:
As a result of this requirement, we will not be selling tickets at the gate of any of our athletic events. Tickets will be distributed amongst students and workers. Tickets are required for entry into the venue. In addition, anyone with a ticket entering the event venue will have to affirm they are free of COVID-19 symptoms.
Away Athletic Contest:
Our ticket allotment for away contests will vary depending on the requirements set forth by the hosting school district. Some districts are not allowing any visiting fans to their indoor venues while others have limits on number based on their seating capacity. As we receive information on their policies, we will communicate them to our coaches, players and parents. Information will be placed on our website and social media platforms.
