Milano ISD will offer the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) at no cost on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 8:00am. The PSAT measures abilities which are important in college level work.

Juniors should consider taking the test for the following reasons:

1) Your scores will be helpful to you in discussing your further education and choice of college with your guidance counselor and parents.

2) It will be a "trial run" for the SAT. Your PSAT/NMSQT can be used to estimate your probable performance on the SAT.

3) As a junior, you have an opportunity to enter one of the scholarship competitions administered by the National Merit Scholarship Program. If you took the PSAT as a sophomore, you need to take it again as your sophomore scores will not qualify you for the scholarship competitions.

The registration form must be returned and signed by a parent/guardian by Friday, September 26, 2014 by 3:00pm. No registrations will be accepted after that time. It is an absolute deadline, as additional tests may not be ordered beyond that date.
