Football and volleyball practice will begin August 3. Football will be from 8-11. Volleyball will be from 9-12 and then again from 4-6. All athletes must have a current physical on file before being allowed to participate. Please be at practice early and ready to start at the given time.
Wednesday, August 19 is Open House and Meet the Eagles. Milano ISD invites all students and parents to come to their campus and meet their teachers at 5:30pm. Meet the Eagles, highlighted by our annual cake auction, will begin at 7:00 in the high school gym. All proceeds from the cake auction will benefit Milano Athletics. The booster club will be offering meals at Meet the Eagles and we invite everyone to come out and support our athletes and get ready for a new school year!!
Myka played in the Texas Girls Coaches Association Volleyball All Star game. Her red team won and she played well. Myka represented Milano and made us all proud. Congratulation Myka!!!

High School Summer School: June 1st to June 25th; 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Junior High Summer School: June 22nd to July 16th: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Students that have lost credit in a class are ineligible to participate in U.I.L. for the first six weeks of the new school year.
HOWEVER, if a student earns credit through summer school (and 8th graders must also pass the STAAR exam in the summer), the student is eligible to participate in U.I.L. at the beginning of the year if all other requirements are met (such as having enough credits, etc).

Cost: $30 per student
Grades: For girls entering 5th-8th grades.
Milano ISD is using our phone notification system to try and keep parents as up to date as possible. Starting on Sept 4th, 2014, Milano ISD will begin to use the phone notification system to send attendance calls around 6:05pm every night if your child was absent from school that day. Milano ISD will also use the system to send home low balance and negative balance calls for the cafeteria every Thursday night at 6:15pm. The caller ID for each call will show 512-455-1200.
