Parking Changes in Front of High School (Updated)

Parking Changes in Front of High School (Updated)

Due to construction, we are needing to update our parking and drop-off/pick-up procedures at the secondary school. Please be patient as we modify/make changes to find the safest and most effective parking for our staff, students, and visitors.

For parking:
No parking in front of the flag pole
Students will begin parking and filling the first row on the gym side of the parking lot and continue to park next to each other to fill the 1st row all the way down to the cafeteria. (no skipping spots)
Once the 1st row is filled, students will then go back to the gym side to begin a second row of parking, fill in the 2nd row, no skipping spots, until the 2nd row is filled.
Once the 2nd row is filled, students will then create a 3rd row as seen in the diagram (with a driving lane space between row 2 and 3); again starting the row on the gym side, no skipping spots, filling up the 3rd row all the way down to the cafeteria.
For drop off:
Parents will drop off students by the cafeteria back door, same place as the buses.
For pick up:
Parents will follow the arrows as shown in the picture and circle around the parking lot
Pick up students in the afternoon by the front office/main front doors
If your student is not ready to load, please circle around as to not hold up the pick up line (You may also park in a parking space and wait for your student.)
Thank you for working together with the school as we begin this exciting adventure of building the new editions to our campus.
It is a good day to be an EAGLE!!

Call the office if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Tracy Brewer
Secondary Principal

Milano ISD Tax Rate Statement Update

The Milam County Tax Office will be sending out corrected 2015 Tax Statements later this week. We apologize for the misunderstanding. Thank you for supporting the children of Milano ISD.

Original Story:
Milano ISD Property Owners

The 2015 Tax Statements were recently issued by the Milam County Tax Office. The statements issued are incorrect in regards to the Milano ISD tax rate. The statements reflect a total tax rate of $1.5878. The tax rate that was approved by voters is $1.4578, which is thirteen cents less than what is on the tax statements.

We will keep you posted on how the Milam County Tax Office will resolve this situation.

Automated Attendance and Lunch Calls

Milano ISD is using our phone notification system to try and keep parents as up to date as possible. Starting on Sept 4th, 2014, Milano ISD will begin to use the phone notification system to send attendance calls around 6:05pm every night if your child was absent from school that day. Milano ISD will also use the system to send home low balance and negative balance calls for the cafeteria every Thursday night at 6:15pm. The caller ID for each call will show 512-455-1200.
